- 2025 Winner of The Bill Burrell Prize

Little Gaddesden Art Club is pleased to announce that Terry Mower has won The Bill Burrell Prize for 2025 for her mixed media painting ‘The Old Boat II‘, which is viewable on our Gallery page.
We award The Bill Burrell Prize for the work of art in the Summer Exhibition that is voted best by our visitors. The prize is an engraved tankard for the winning artist to keep for a year. Christine Burrell, Bill’s widow, presented the tankard to Terry at Little Gaddesden Art Club’s Summer Supper on Sunday 13 July 2025.
‘The Old Boat II‘ sold at the Summer Exhibition and was bought by a purchaser from Tring.
One Day Sale: Saturday 8 November 2025
The Summer Exhibition is one of two selling exhibitions held by Little Gaddesden Art Club each year. The other is the One Day Sale, which this year will be held on Saturday 8 November 2025. It’s open to the public from 10:30am to 4:00pm.

- Donation to Macmillan in Memory of Bill Burrell
Thank you to those members and friends of Little Gaddesden Art Club who made generous payments in memory of Bill Burrell during the recent sale of Bill’s art materials. Your payments came to a net total of £622.08, and this amount has now been sent as a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.
- Inaugural Winner of The Bill Burrell Prize
In memory of the late and much missed Bill Burrell, who was a member of Little Gaddesden Art Club for many years and Treasurer for several of them, we instituted a prize for the work of art in the Summer Exhibition that is voted best by our visitors. The prize is an engraved tankard for the winning artist to keep for a year.
In 2024, the inaugural winner was Andrew Dixon for his oil painting ‘Venice 2023’:

Christine Burrell presents The Bill Burrell Prize, awareded in memory of her late husband Bill, to Andrew Dixon. Andrew’s winning painting can be seen on the Gallery page.
